BMW i3 Urban Suite was showed CES in Las Vegas 2020.
The concept is a tailored mobility experience entirely to the passenger’s individual needs.
BMW i3 underwent a complete transformation (with only the driver’s seat and dashboard left untouched) so that its interior now has the relaxed feel of a boutique hotel. Considering the small size of the i3 we managed to create more a more spacious interior for the passenger compared to a BMW 7 series.
My aim was to create an inviting space with a high feel-good factor in which to spend time – the perfect place for relaxing, enjoying in-car entertainment or focusing on work in a laid-back setting. The interior should be place were you are rather gaining energy than getting tired.
This has been achieved by including, among other things, a large, comfortable seat with footrest, a side table were you can charge your devices, drink holder with cooling and heating, a screen that flips down from the headliner and a personal Sound Zone.
A selection of recycled materials have been used such as certified wood and olive-tanned leather. The floor mats are made from recycled materials that can be used over and over again, as per circular economy principles.
A fleet of cars were build including an app were made you could book a trip and pre-order drinks upon arrival.
